Obtain a Georgia Electrical, Alarm, Fire, and General Contractor License
Contractor licensing in Georgia is regulated by the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) and the Board for Residential and General Contractors. There is no board meeting required for the General Commercial and Residential License. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, all other licenses require board approval to sit for the exam.

General and Residential Construction
Georgia accepts the NASCLA for the Unlimited GC License. All exams are administered by PSI. Reciprocity is available with Louisiana and Tennessee. The Business and Law exam is still required when seeking reciprocity.

Unlimited Electrical Licenses
Unlimited Electrical licenses require board approval prior to sitting for the exam- 2021 EN Exam Schedule. Testing is provided by AMP. The exam candidate bulletin provides all the information needed for the exam. Georgia offers reciprocity for the Unlimited license with license holders in Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Low Voltage Licenses
Low Voltage licenses require board approval prior to sitting for the exam- 2021 Low Voltage Exam Schedule. Low Voltage licenses are offered in 4 different classifications. Exams require pre-approval and are held according to this exam schedule. Exams are administered by AMP. Suggested reference material and a candidate bulletin is provided.
